Local Girl Scout troops reported the Longboat Key Publix was an unusually good spot for selling Girl Scout cookies this year.

Some of the girls would stand outside of Publix for four hours in a weekend. And at least one customer bought two cases — 24 boxes. Now that’s a lot of cookies!
