It’s full-speed ahead to the sixth annual Sarasota Walk, which promotes pancreatic-cancer awareness. Pre-registration ends Oct. 8. The walk takes place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at J.D. Hamel Park on Main Street in Sarasota. Walkers can also register the morning of the walk, founded by Longboat resident Nancy Flemming. For information, visit sarasotawalk.org.
