+ Mote’s new exhibit offers a shrimp's-eye view
Mote Marine Aquarium’s “Sanctuary Reef” traveling exhibit opened Wednesday, Dec. 22 and offers a new view of coral reefs: a shrimp’s-eye view. The exhibit features a model coral reef cove inside the hull of an overturned ship with models of corals, fish, eels and other reef fauna, while the exhibit’s exterior provides reef-related information.

The exhibit is on display through Jan. 10, at Mote’s Ann and Alfred Goldstein Marine Mammal Research and Rehabilitation Center, 1703 Ken Thompson Parkway. For information, visit mote.org/sanctuaryreef.
