Riverview volleyball opens season with win

The Riverview volleyball team held off the Gulf Coast HEAT 25-13, 25-20, 27-25 in its season opener Aug. 22. 

Senior outside hitter Margo Schnapf powered the Rams with 11 kills and nine digs. Freshman outside hitter Riah Walker added nine kills and 17 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Alex Hilton contributed nine kills. Junior setter Kayla Walker dished out 31 assists. 

Riverview returns to action Aug. 23 at home versus rival Sarasota. Freshman will take the court at 5 p.m. followed by JV at 6 p.m. and Varsity at 7 p.m.
