The Braden River High softball team defeated Venice 2-0 in the Class 7A-District 11 semifinals April 16.
Senior Courtney Mirabella pitched a complete game, allowing three hits while striking out 15.
With the win, the Lady Pirates will host Sarasota in tonight's district championship.
