Bikers revved their engines at the 15th Annual Thunder by the Bay Motorcycle Festival Saturday, Jan. 5 in downtown Sarasota. The festival began on Thursday, Jan 4 at Michaels Tasting Room and continued through Sunday in downtown. Festival - goers from all across the U.S. came to enjoy the music, the bikes, and the vendors. 'It draws a pretty big crowd,' said Charles Jury a vendor at the festival.

Sarasota to break ground on Honore extension

The 2.7-mile extension of Honore Avenue from Bee Ridge Road north to Fruitville Road will kick off with a groundbreaking at 9 a.m. tomorrow. The groundbreaking will be on the north side of Webber Street, east of Mapleloft Lane and west of the bridge on Phillippi Creek.
