In an effort to recognize all of Sarasota's local veterans, Ken Chester, owner of Chester's Reef in Gulf Gate, hosted a Veteran's Appreciation Day event in front of his bar Saturday, Oct. 13. The event featured live music, food, raffles and prizes, and all the proceeds benefited the Wounded Warrior Project.
