Sarasota Sister Cities hosted its third One World Gala Sunday, March 3, at the Sarasota Bay Club, to honor an outstanding citizen and organization. They handed the One World Award to former Mayor Lou Ann Palmer for emulating president Eisenhower's plan of citizen diplomacy. The Sarasota Christian School also received an award for its effort of adopting cities all over the Middle East. 'We're looking forward to having an enjoyable evening and honoring an organization and individual who emulate Eisenhower's vision,' said President Tom Halbert.
