May 24 Extended stay 9:51 a.m. -- 700 block of Tarawitt Drive. Parking Violation. Police observed a 40-foot Bluebird Presidential motor home parked in a front yard. Cat's meow

These girls were a hit all right. With teased manes and faux-fur body-suits, Caitlyn Colleran, Nicole Viccora and Erin Colleran waved drivers into The Cat Depot Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 for its grand opening. A total of 17 cats were adopted over the weekend with 1,000 people attending. Visitors went home with either raffle prizes, free cat toys or a new furry friend.

Athletes from all over came to Longboat Key Club and Resort to participate in the Second Annual Ziivaa Longboat Key Triathlon and Duathlon on Sunday, Oct. 23. The triathlon consisted of a half-mile swim, a twenty-mile bike and a five-mile run. The Duathlon consists of a two-mile run, twenty-mile bike and a five-mile run.
