The 13th annual Firehouse Chili Cook-Off took place on Sunday Oct. 29 by Morton's Gourmet Market. Proceeds from the cook-off went to the Sarasota Firefighters Benevolent fund. People sampled 15 different chilies that were made by the firefighters from 15 stations in Sarasota. They then voted for a People's Choice Award while judges chose first, second and third place. Station 22, Pepper Palace won first place and bragging rights for the year.
