Longboat Lore: Flies bugged residents on Fourth of July

A buzzing, rapidly multiplying fleet of flies pestered Longboat Key throughout the Fourth of July weekend in 2005. The flies swarmed Freedom Fest and also bugged guests at the Colony Beach & Tennis Resort's Fourth of July celebration.
