PHOTO GALLERY: Braden River Library Easter Egg Hunt

Children ages 12 and under scrambled to find multi-colored plastic eggs filled with candy, April 17, at Braden River Library's Easter Egg Hunt. After attendees found all of the eggs that were tucked inside, behind and underneath books, they decorated Easter egg and bunny cutouts to take home, along with their sweet treats.

PHOTO GALLERY: Oak Park School shadow puppet performance

Oak Park School presented a Balinese shadow puppet show Tuesday. The fifth- and sixth-grade students, all with varying disabilities, were introduced to shadow puppetry by Surapsari, a local performing artist who specializes in theater and dance. The goal of this project was for the students to learn to sustain focus, as well as have a fun time working with each other.

Families enjoyed spring break at the third annual Phillippi Farmhouse Market Children's Day Wednesday, March 12. Children had their faces painted and took part in arts and crafts provided by Art Center Sarasota. The all-day event included story-telling and agility-focused games provided by Krisztina's Amazing Games.
