With less than a month to go until the town's Tuesday, March 16 municipal election, campaign contributions are mounting. Listed below are the names of contributors to general election candidates through Feb. 5, as well as candidates' expenditures. Contributions and expenditures are listed for all contested races on the Key - at-large race between incumbent Commissioner Hal Lenobel and Phil Younger; District 1 race between incumbent Mayor Lee Rothenberg and Lynn Larson; and District 3 race between incumbent Commissioner Peter O'Connor and David Brenner.

Manatee deputies catch shoplifters

According to sheriff's office reports, Ebony Brice, 32, Trenicia Bridges, 29 and Shakeshia Ward, 31, were confronted by Vanity Fair management in reference to shoplifting from their store. The three fled with merchandise from Vanity Fair and Izod, totaling in excess of $1,200.
