The Greater Tampa Junior Golf Association recently named Lakewood Ranch High School golfer Connor Baldwin as its 2011 Player of the Year. Baldwin, who began playing GTJGA events six years ago, will represent the GTJGA in the boys 16-18 division of the Florida Junior Team Championships Aug. 6-7.

Lakewood Ranch High junior Olivia Ortiz crossed the finish line in 18 minutes, 49.27 seconds to finish first overall at the 19th Annual Canes Classic 5K Sept. 5 at G.T. Bray Park.
