Feb. 19 Night-light questioned 1:38 a.m. - 500 block of Sutton Place. Security Check. A woman called police to report there was a light on inside her home that she did not remember turning on before she left the house. Police checked out her home before she entered it and deemed it safe.

Oct. 12 Safety first 7:30 p.m. - Off the Key. Traffic Violation. Police pulled over a juvenile for riding a motorcycle without a helmet on Longboat Pass Bridge. It was discovered the boy was riding a moped, but he still received tickets for driving with a learner's permit only and not wearing a helmet.
