PHOTO GALLERY: Mock marine search and rescue mission

The Sheriff's Underwater Recovery Force (SURF) conducted a mock marine search and rescue mission from 1 -3 p.m. Thursday, July 21 at Ken Thompson Park Boat Ramp. The main exercise involved divers dropping from the agency helicopter into the water below, saving a mannequin and dragging the mannequin to a rescue boat. All members of SURF were required to do the mock mission twice.

There are 300 participants from all over the country and range in age from 9 to 87. This year's 5-day AYCO Festival also includes 90 different workshops that cover a wide variety of circus talents.
