Lilly Pulitzer at St. Armands Circle opened its brand new glass door for a grand re-opening on Nov. 26. The previous door, which was painted by Lilly's design team, will be auctioned off at Ringling in Bloom in February. Sarasota Ballet will receive 10 % of the event's proceeds.

The annual Bayfront Firework Spectacular lit up the night sky around 9 p.m. Monday, July 4 with fireworks going off over the Sarasota Bay. Many people viewed the fireworks display from Bayfront Park, Island Park, along Tamiami Trail and even out on boats in the Bay.

The Out of Door Academy Lower School welcomed back students for the first day of school Wednesday, Aug. 20. After dropping off their children, parents were invited to socialize underneath the banyan trees with coffee and muffins. The event was organized by the school's Parent Association.
