North Carolina-based artist Patrick Dougherty gives a few simple instructions before the volunteers help create his vision on the front lawn at the future home of Sarasota Museum of Art / SMOA, a Division of Ringling College of Art and Design. The outdoor installation will be taking shape for the next two weeks, but the structure could last from two to three years.
