The annual Run to Remember 5K and mile walk kicked off Sunday morning at the gates to the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. Runners took off toward Bay Shore Road then through the Indian Beach-Sapphire Shores neighborhood before ending on Ringling Plaza.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit families involved with Pines of Sarasota in particular patients with Alzheimer disease and its Education Institute.
Co-Chairs for the event were Dr. Adam Bright and Jackie Fanara. Once runners crossed the finish line they were treated to breakfast and a celebratory beer provided by Big Top Brewing Company.
