The Lakewood Ranch YMCA's Interactive Dinner boasted a Moroccan theme this year.
Tommy Klauber had a surprise for his 200 guests.
"What's a Moroccan night without belly dancers?" Klauber, owner of Polo Grill and Bar, asked the crowd.
In seconds, Marguerite Barnett danced around Polo Grill and Bar's Fete Ballroom during the annual Lakewood Ranch Y Interactive Dinner fundraiser, March 11. This year's theme was "A Night in Morocco."
Barnett wasn't alone, though. Around her neck, she sported Bob the boa, a snake that surprised event attendees.
Those who participated in the event enjoyed cocktails, time with friends and cooking their own meals. Klauber, who is also a chef, led a cooking demonstration of a three-course meal, which at least one person from each table cooked for their friends and family.
The first course was salmon and couscous.
Proceeds from the $100 admission fee benefited the Lakewood Ranch Y and its scholarship programs.
