Sixth-graders got to play outside for field day.
The heat was no issue for Dan R. Nolan Middle School's sixth-graders.
Students played ball and ran around outside for the annual field day, a reward to those students who met academic and behavioral standards for the year. They also got to ear a cook-out meal of hamburgers and hotdogs, along with watermelon.
The rinds didn't go to waste — Nolan's FFA cows got to snack on the leftovers.
