The clothes at The Lord’s Warehouse may be gently used, but one wear is not enough for them.
This was the motto for The Lord’s Warehouse Fashion Show, “Once is not Enuf!” The 20th annual show and luncheon took place at the Longboat Island Chapel, which operates Lord’s Warehouse, on March 7. Models walked the runway in various outfits from the thrift store as attendees enjoyed lunch and an afternoon of socializing.
As attendees arrived they walked through the chapel where silent auction and raffle baskets lined the aisle. Items such as wine and hor’deuvres baskets, an afternoon on a boat and makeup were all available for bids.
The fashion show profits the Longboat Island Chapel and its mission of helping 27 local organizations. The Lord’s Warehouse is a thrift store neighboring the chapel that sells gently used women’s and men’s clothing as well as accessories, books, home goods and more.
