Sarasota is in for a great cultural season as indicated by the hundreds in attendance at Artsy August Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Hotel Indigo. Patrons of the arts along with arts advocates, arts affiliates, visitors and new Sarasotans filled the first floor for an event West Coast Woman organized to celebrate the arts. The publication, along with help from Hotel Indigo, brought more than 20 area arts organizations to attend the event with informational tables. Groups such as Sarasota Ballet, Sarasota Opera, Sarasota Orchestra and Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe presented its seasons to attendees who were able learn a little about each. Between tables, they gathered to socialize and have light bites.
