Dolores M. Stevens

Dolores M. Stevens died suddenly on November 27, 2025 in Ridgewood, NJ. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of George L. and Demetra (Teko) Stevens (nee Stefan). She was a longtime resident of Longboat Key, FL and Lexington, MA. She also resided in Basking Ridge, NJ, and was recently living in Ridgewood, NJ. She was the wife of the late George A. Stevens. She was predeceased by her sister Beverly (Stevens) Elia and spouse Louis, her brother Robert Stevens, and her step-children Charles and Linda Stevens. Her cherished sister in law Debra (Bogosian) Stevens passed shortly after Dolores.

Dolores leaves her daughter Elizabeth (Stevens) and husband William M. Kempey of Ridgewood, NJ, step-son Andrew W. and his wife Anne (Richardson) Stevens of Gloucester, MA, step-son-in-law Joseph S. Artley of Cambridge, MA. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren: William and James Kempey of Ridgewood, NJ, Juliana Stevens and her children Magda and Romer Tosch of Gloucester, MA, and Carson Stevens, his wife Esme (Gonzalez), and their daughter Zoe, also of Gloucester. In addition, Dolores leaves her dear brother Mark Stevens of Naples, FL and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dolores was a longtime parishioner of St. George Orthodox Cathedral of Boston. Prior to being an active stay at home mother and girl scout leader her professional background was in the pharmaceutical industry. She enjoyed travel, and some of her most memorable recent international trips were to Russia, China, Japan and Cuba. She also greatly enjoyed various cultural events and supported many philanthropic endeavors.

A private mass was said at St. George Orthodox Cathedral in Boston December 12th 2025. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, MA.
