Billy Cooper was lucky enough to happen upon Shamrock Pub one day.Â
"I just ran into it and fell in love with it," he said, noting that he liked the vibe of the small establishment, and the people.Â
A repeat visitor from Asheville, North Carolina, along with his wife, Angie Cooper, she says it's become his "local watering hole" he walks to, and thus, it seemed natural for the couple to head there for St. Patrick's Day.Â
They were among a group which, although it wasn't dusk yet, was already starting to fill the area around Shamrock Pub that evening.Â
Although two years ago, the pub scaled back its celebrations from the large block parties that it had hosted in the past, attendees still turned out for the event, which featured pipers, dancers and live music.Â
"We have come here every year," said Anita Keitel, who attended with her friends Zack Holzworth and Robert Connor — and it was a common sentiment among the crowd.Â
