Suspicious vehicle: A building security guard reported the driver of a vehicle advised him he nearly collided with a suspiciously parked vehicle while exiting the parking deck. The guard said he approached the vehicle and stated the occupant “was most rude and yelled at him,” according to the incident report.

The guard advised he suspected the driver was possibly intoxicated and that he alerted law enforcement following the brief altercation.

The officer asked the subject if he had any business in the building, to which he replied he had not. That followed the question of why he chose to park there, to which he responded he wanted to avoid paying parking fees. The officer was not able to discern any impairment as the subject drove away.

You can’t stay here

7:34 p.m., 2400 block of Eighth Street

Disturbance: Wishing to report a dispute she had with her son, a complainant said the fruit of her loins had informed her she must pack her belongings and move out of his apartment by the time he returns home from work.

The woman stated she had been living in the apartment for more than four months and there had never been any incidents of violence between the two and the had not had any issues. She added she had already packed and was waiting for her daughter to pick her up.

The officer contacted her son by phone who confirmed he issued the ultimatum because of, reads the incident report, “his federal probation not allowing him to live with anyone else in the apartment.” Because his mother had established residency, the man was informed he would have to undertake civil procedures to legally evict her.

Transportation to any location, including her daughter’s address, was offered by the officer, which the woman declined and advised she would wait for her daughter to contact her.
