From cookbooks to hardbacks to fiction to coffee-table books, plenty of the titles the Longboat Library had for sale on Valentine's Day found new homes.

Books flew from the shelves at the annual sale, serving to both downsize the library's collection and help raise funds for Save Our Seabirds.

The sale featured tomes the library wouldn't typically part with as it prepares for the groundbreaking of the new library on the Key.

The library is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at 555 Bay Isles Road.
