Sheriff's Office, East Manatee Fire Rescue to host Halloween events

Children will have two exciting trick-or-treat opportunities this week.

The first is 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday when the Manatee County Sheriff's Office hosts its Spooktactical Night at the Manatee County Sheriff's Office Operations Center, 600 301 Blvd. W., Bradenton.

The free event will feature Manatee County Sheriff's Office and partner agency vehicles on display, demonstrations from the K-9 Unit, SWAT Team, Mounted Patrol and Special Response team, face painting, interactive children's activities, free dogs, and plenty of candy.

Parking is available at the DeSoto Square Mall.

From 4-6 p.m. Saturday, East Manatee Fire Rescue hosts its Trunk or Treat at Station 1, 3200 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., Lakewood Ranch.

The free event will include plenty of goodies for the kids.
