Lunch-hour traffic was briefly halted on Ringling Boulevard just east of U.S. 301 on Friday as fire rescue crews conducted an odor investigation at the Judge Lynn N. Silvertooth Judicial Center.

In total, 11 units were dispatched at 12:37 p.m., assisted by Sarasota Police for traffic control.

A spokeswoman for Sarasota County Emergency Services said there were no injuries, and no evacuation of the building in the 2000 block of Ringling Boulevard were necessary.

Fire apparatus had largely departed the scene within an hour of first reports.
