Main street to close on Tuesday for Veterans Day parade

The city of Sarasota will close Main Street in downtown for the annual Veterans Day parade on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

The parade, which begins at 10 a.m., at Links Avenue, will travel west to Bayfront Drive. 

According to the Sarasota Police Department, closures will start early Tuesday morning at 3 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. 

SPD will close Main Street from Links Ave to Bayfront Drive and on Osprey from Ringling Boulevard to Second Street.

SPD is also warning vehicles not removed by the posted time of 3 a.m. will be towed at the owner’s expense. For additional information on towed vehicles, contact Upman’s Towing at 941-365-7084.
