Water quality warning issued for North Lido Beach

Sarasota County has issued an unsafe water conditions warning for North Lido Beach at 50 Benjamin Franklin Drive in Sarasota.

The Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County has reported that tests completed on Monday, July 7, indicate that the water quality there does not meet the recreational criteria recommended by the Florida Department of Health for Enterococcus bacteria.

DOH-Sarasota advises against any water-related activities at this location. Sampling conducted during regular water quality monitoring showed that the level of bacteria exceeds the level established by state guidelines.

This advisory will continue until bacteria levels are below the accepted health level. Test results are available at FloridaHealth.gov/HealthyBeaches.
