Hamlet's Eatery celebrates Hot Dog Day with furry friends

There’s nothing better to combat the sweltering heat than with a hot dog, free beer samples, live music and all you can pet and greet hot dogs.

Not those hot dogs, but live dachshunds.

On Saturday, July 5, Hamlet’s Eatery hosted its fifth annual Hot Dog Day. Hamlet served hot dogs, burgers, fries and other vegan alternatives, all accompanied by their topping bar.

Hamlet partnered with local breweries like Big Top Brewing Co. and Sun King for free beer samples. Capt. John and friends as they played live summer music classics.

Hamlet’s Eatery also partnered with Dachshunds Seeking Forever Home Rescue, to help their adorable wiener dogs find their forever home.

“We get a chance to come out and meet people and let them meet our dogs. And the fact that it’s wiener dogs and it's a hot dog celebration makes it all the more fun.” said Forever Home Rescue founder Tia Bednarczyk.
