Fight: A reported battery turned out to be mutual combat between two women as a late night party was winding down just before sunrise.
The complainant alleged a woman who lives across the street, following a verbal dispute, attempted to settle matters by tossing a flower pot through her front door. In an effort to validate her complaint, the incident report reads she pointed toward “her man,” as described in the incident report, who was reluctant to engage and instead continued sweeping the flowerpot dirt from the front of the residence.
The officer then met with the subject who said the two are ordinarily on good terms, but the complainant had been “acting strangely” lately and was upset that she had company. A yelling match from their mutual corners drew both into the street and, as the man attempted to separate them, was shoved out of the way by “his woman” who then launched a saliva salvo, striking its intended target on her leg. The officer reported seeing a “spit mark” on her clothing and photographed the warhead as evidence.
Neither woman wanted to press charges against the other.
Officers advised the women to separate for and, given the hour, part for the remainder of the night. Whether the subject threw the flower pot through the door was not specified in the report.

Dispute: Two blocks over and just 25 hours following the prior reported slap and spit fight, another dispute resulting from an overnight party brought law enforcement to restore peace and some level of civility.
An officer met with a subject upon arrival who advised a party had carried over from the previous night and, for a non-specified reasons, a verbal altercation ensued, eventually escalating into physical contact. The two women, the officer was told, were “acquaintances” according to the incident report.
The complainant, who was a third party witness to the incident, said both women had attended the party and described the scuffle as mutual. As a result, no charges were filed.

Dispute: Responding to a report of a dispute involving juveniles, a woman advised the officer that her granddaughter was being highly disrespectful to her and her other assembled grandchildren.
In an attempt to apply some form of order to the situation, the complainant said an adult male family member walked into the room, addressed the troublesome grandchild in a disciplinary manner and, receiving no response from the discourteous adolescent, absconded with her electronic tablet.
The officer spoke with the child in question, who agreed she was being disrespectful but offered a contradictory account that she was attempting to apologize, but the man kept yelling at her and relieved her of her tablet.
The man explained all the grandchildren are disrespectful to their grandmother and he decided to take action because “they never receive discipline,” according to the incident report.
After speaking to all parties, the man advised he was leaving the house for the remainder of the day and all parties separated. No further action was taken.
