Sarasota Art Museum steps into Style Moderne for annual Art Bash

Inspired by the artwork on view at the Sarasota Art Museum, this year's Art Bash was titled Style Moderne in honor of the winter exhibition, "Art Deco: The Golden Age of Illustration." 

Guests were issued passports at registration and encouraged to visit different galleries on Dec. 13 to mingle with old and new friends while discovering and being inspired by new artists. Mini-experiences awaited around every corner of the three-story gallery.

After a canapé and cocktail social hour, photo ops with old cars and live performances, guests were ushered into the tent. Dinner, a paddle raise and auction, music and dancing were on the menu for 375 guests.

Co-chairs are the energetic team of Umbreen Khalidi-Majeed, Roxanne Permesly and Elisabeth Waters. They worked directly with Director of Special Events Laura Stuart Wood, the development team and Executive Director Virginia Shearer to bring the theme to life.

"I absolutely loved the evening and am so proud to be part of it," said Khalidi-Majeed.

Proceeds support the museum, which features local, national and international artists, education programs and art classes.
