Here is everything you need to know for the upcoming Easter and Passover seasons at the six Longboat Key houses of worship:


Longboat Island Chapel

March 29: 6 p.m. Good Friday Service
March 31: 7 a.m. Sunrise Service in the garden; 10 a.m. Easter Day Worship traditional service with orchestra


St. Armands Key Lutheran Church 

40 North Adams Drive, Pastor Kenneth Blyth

March 28: Noon and 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday services
March 29: Noon and 7 p.m. Good Friday services
March 30: 7 p.m. Easter Vigil
March 31: 7 and 10 a.m. Easter services in the garden; 9 and 11 a.m. Easter services in the sanctuary with choir, festive brass and timpani


Christ Church of Longboat Key

6400 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Pastor Julia Piermont 

March 28: 7:30 p.m. "As We've Been Done To" Maundy Thursday service at Communion Service remembering the Last Supper. The choir will sing "Hope of The World."
March 29: 7:30 p.m. Good Friday Tenebrae service with "Shadows of the Passion," a dramatic retelling of the drama leading to Jesus' crucifixion using narratives from scripture with musical commentary.
March 31: 10 a.m. Festival Easter service with choir, organ and trumpet


All Angels By the Sea Episcopal Church

563 Bay Isles Road, Pastor David Marshall

March 28: 4 p.m. Maundy Thursday service
March 29: Noon Good Friday service
March 31: 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Easter Sunday services


St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church

March 28: 4 p.m. Holy Thursday: The Mass of the Lord’s Supper (washing of the feet)
March 29: Noon, Stations of the Cross; 3 p.m. Good Friday: Venerations of the Cross liturgy
March 30: 10 a.m. Blessing of Easter Baskets; 6 p.m. Holy Saturday: Easter Vigil Mass
March 31: 7 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Easter Sunday Mass 

    

Temple Beth Israel

April 22: 5:30 p.m. Passover Seder (Registration closes at noon April 12. There will be a waiting list available. Call the office at 383-3428.)
April 23: 10 a.m. Morning Pesach Service (temple office closed for the holiday)
April 26: 5:30 p.m. Regular Erev Shabbat Service
April 29: 10 a.m. Seventh Day morning service and Yizkor (temple office closed for the holiday)
