City of Sarasota announces holiday closures

The city of Sarasota's administrative offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas, and Wednesday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day.

Garbage/recycling and yard waste collection schedules will not be affected by the holidays.

The Bay Runner will operate regular hours on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Holiday hours of operation at city of Sarasota facilities will vary:

• Arlington Park and Aquatic Complex, 2650 Waldemere St., will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, and closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.
• Lido Pool, 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive, will be closed Dec. 23 - Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.
• Payne Park Tennis Center, 2050 Adams Lane, will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, and closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.
• Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 34th St., will be open from 6 to 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, and closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.
• Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 N. Tamiami Trail, the box office will be open Dec. 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dec. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
