The Wise family now knows first-hand what a difference having a caregiver at your side can mean for clients and their loved ones during even the most routine of medical procedures and throughout recovery. Take Care's personalized services were as personal as possible this past season.

Carl Wise, the husband of Take Care's founder and owner Susanne S. Wise, RN, MBA, has been one of the company’s biggest champions long before its official opening in May of 1995.

While he works in commercial real estate professionally and isn’t formally engaged with the health care business or care management operations, Carl is certainly an honorary member and avid supporter of Take Care. He is known to regularly help transport boxes of Take Care brochures for community events and is an ambassador for Take Care, passing out Sue’s business cards with pride.

While Carl has often provided an extra helping hand around the office for nearly three decades, the Take Care team stepped up for him earlier this year. That’s when the Wise family found themselves in one Take Care role none of them had previously experienced personally – that of a client and family.

Following scheduled surgery for his back, Carl was grateful Take Care caregivers provided additional overnight support at the hospital and during his early recovery at home as he safely regained his strength, surrounded by his loving family - and - Take Care caregivers.

While Carl had his entire family, including wife Sue and daughters Courtney, Erika, and Whitney, helping after his back surgery, it is nice to let family be family and welcome the support of professional caregivers and amazing nurses.

As you see Sue & Carl around the community, Erika & Matt with their daughters at Southside Elementary, Courtney & Dan with their girls at Forty Carrots Family Center, and Whitney & David with their sons at Phillippi Shores Elementary or working at Riverview High School, please introduce yourself and feel free to ask any questions about how personalized care or medical advocacy services may help support you and your loved ones.

"It takes a village" is so true in many aspects of life and family. Please remember that the Take Care family is ready to serve you and your family with compassionate in-home support, companionship, nursing services, medical advocacy, and care management.
