Braden River High School students Olivia Hunt, Leah Buchler and Ethan Zeitz wasted no time hitting the dance floor.

They were the first to begin dancing at Braden River's 2023 prom Thursday at the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota.

And as soon as they hit the floor, dozens of other students followed.

Junior Erika Sardina wore a headpiece, jewelry and other accessories to her attire that matched the "Gatsby" theme for the event.

"II love it," Sardina said. "I feel like I came very on-point. I always like dressing for the theme."
