Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce hosts Meet, Greet, Eat
The community and business world mingled at the 17th edition of the event.

There were plenty of people and businesses to meet and greet and plenty of snack to eat at the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce's event on March 22.Â
The 17th annual Meet, Greet, Eat drew 28 member businesses to Harbourside Dining Room at the Longboat Key Club to set up a table and connect with the residents of Longboat Key. Businesses like Cadence Bank, Tidewell Foundation, The Paradise Center, Jack Dean Flooring and more businesses and services mingled with each other and the dozens of residents who came by. Harry's Continental Kitchens, the Longboat Key Club and Publix provided the "eat" portion of the evening.Â
"It's one of my favorite events," chamber President Gail Loefgren said. "Our businesses get a lot of business from this and it becomes a community event, too. People like to meet up here."Â

Bill Ferry and Bill Allen took a break to snack on the available food.

Russ Callahan, Linn Torres and Philip Deming picked up copies of the paper.
Tim Williams and Commissioner Debra Williams got to know the business community.
Donna Sharp Blaney and Suzy Brenner from The Paradise Center had games for attendees to play to try to win prizes.
Chris Pfahler and Kaitlyn Kramer Reeves from Tidewell Foundation educated attendees about what they do.
Tidewell Foundation had branded hats and bottles for attendees.
Gary and Judy Buchanan stood outside to enjoy the afternoon.
