Tocobaga Bay home is Sarasota area's top seller

Property is highest-priced sale in Sarasota, Siesta Key and surrounding areas for the week of Oct. 18-22.

A home in Tocobaga Bay tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Craig and Kimberly Johnson, of Waynesboro, Virginia, sold their home at 1001 Tocobaga Lane to Terrence John Arenberg and Lucy Joanne Arenberg, of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, for $6.7 million. Built in 1992, it has five bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, a pool and 5,274 square feet of living area. It  sold for $4,825,000 in 2018.

SARASOTA

McClellan Park

Steven and Mary Paschall sold their home at 2141 McClellan Parkway to TCMAX LLC for $1,558,000. Built in 2000, it has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,876 square feet of living area. It  sold for $1.15 million in 2014.

Vista Bay Point

Linda Rigby, trustee, of Nokomis, sold the Unit 701 condominium at 128 Golden Gate Point to Peter Smith and Carla Plush Smith, of Sarasota, for $1.55 million. Built in 2004, it has four bedrooms, four baths and 3,000 square feet of living area. It  sold for $1,295,000 in 2007.

Indian Beach

Julie Trigg, of Sarasota, sold two properties at 4014 Bay Shore Road to PFI Real Estate LLC for $1.35 million. The first property was built in 1925, it has three bedrooms, one-and-a-half baths and 2,184 square feet of living area. The second property was built in 1925, it has one bedroom, one bath and 512 square feet of living area. They  sold for $48,000 in 1979.

Bay Island

Gary and Jeannie McDermott, of Lakewood Ranch, sold two properties at 3482 Flamingo Ave. to Jaime and Lisa Castro, of Sarasota, for $5 million. The first property was built in 2018, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,562 square feet of living area. The second property was built in 2018, it has one bedroom, one bath and 590 square feet of living area.

PALMER RANCH

Abor Lakes on Palmer Ranch

Frik and Elizabeth Strecker, of Sarasota, sold their home at 5869 Palmer Ranch Parkway to Humberto Diegues and Anna Gizellie Viana Diegues, of Sarasota, for $944,000. Built in 2015, it has four bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,772 square feet of living area. It  sold for $635,000 in 2019.

OSPREY

Oaks

Bruce Tizes, trustee, of Chicago, sold the home at 284 Sugar Mill Drive to Mark and Stefanie Nelson, of Osprey, for $1,662,500. Built in 1994, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,135 square feet of living area. It  sold for $650,000 in 2016.

NOKOMIS

Admiral Benbow Club

Michael and Patricia Ruggerio, of Flemington, New Jersey, sold their home at 3604 Casey Key Road to Robert Jernoske and Zhanna Kretova, of Sarasota, for $1.5 million. Built in 1947, it has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths and 3,873 square feet of living area. It  sold for $830,000 in 2018.

 

Promenade Estates

Michael John Dowdell and Greta Velezdevilla, of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, sold their home at 12673 Promenade Estates Blvd. to Charles Lowrey, of Columbus, Ohio, for $725,000. Built in 2021, it has five bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 3,633 square feet of living area. It  sold for $513,100 in July.

River Forest

Bryan Tompson, of Ontario, Canada, sold his home at 5326 Palos Verdes Drive to Ronald Farrington, of Sarasota, for $725,000. Built in 1956, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,348 square feet of living area. It  sold for $210,000 in 2010.

Forest Lakes Country Club Estates

Karen Greco sold her home at 3379 Espanola Drive to Samuel and Sarah Tesh, of Sarasota, for $714,500. Built in 1968, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,854 square feet of living area. It  sold for $175,000 in 2013.

Gulf Gate

Scot and Kacey Randell, of Sarasota, sold their home at 6621 Seagate Ave. to Lance and Barbara Robinson, of Sedona, Arizona, for $675,000. Built in 1961, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,790 square feet of living area. It  sold for $402,500 in 2014.

Gulf Gate Woods

RYEVA Properties LLC sold the home at 7211 Antigua Place to Tomas and Nicole Shinall, of Sarasota, for $475,000. Built in 1972, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,862 square feet of living area. It  sold for $169,000 in 2012.

Jackson Highlands

Juan and Michaela Sanchez, of St. Augustine, sold their home at 2445 Apache St. to Mark and Olga Gaft, of Sarasota, for $450,000. Built in 2000, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,253 square feet of living area.

Ridgewood

Cynthia Hardy, of Holland, Michigan, sold the home at 2323 Lynn St. to Scott and Ljubica Grierson, of Sarasota, for $415,000. Built in 1954, it has five bedrooms, three baths and 2,076 square feet of living area. It  sold for $214,800 in 2013.

Sarasota Beach

WTEM 632 LLC sold the home at 632 Calle Del Ontono to Witt’s End Vacation Rentals LLC for $1.9 million. Built in 1971, it has three bedrooms, four baths and 2,800 square feet of living area. It  sold for $600,000 in 2014.

Daniel Gutwein and William Sjoblom sold their home at 5239 Calle Menorca to Siesta Key Dreams LLC for $1,325,000. Built in 1990, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,470 square feet of living area. It  sold for $705,000 in 2005.

William and Lindsay Sjoblom, of Westerville, Ohio, sold their home at 5241 Calle Menorca to Siesta Key Dreams LLC for $1,325,000. Built in 1990, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,468 square feet of living area. It  sold for $335,000 in 2000.

Siesta Isles

William and Evangelyn Surette, of Ipswich, Massachusetts, sold their home at 5432 Azure Way to Susan Wetherill-Poulos, trustee, of Cincinnati, for $1,875,000. Built in 1970, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,361 square feet of living area. It  sold for $1.09 million in 2013.

Midnight Cove

James Reich, trustee, of Park Ridge, Illinois, sold the Unit 475 condominium at 6342 Midnight Pass Road to Michael and Carol Cutkomp, of Venice, for $1.2 million. Built in 1977, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,214 square feet of living area. It  sold for $190,000 in 1984.

Siesta Pines

Jeffrey Sedacca, of Sarasota, sold the Unit 1 condominium at 600 Beach Road to 602 Beach Siesta Key LLC for $1.15 million. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 1,172 square feet of living area. It  sold for $290,000 in 1996.

Dolphin Bay

John Paul Hoyer and Marlow Hoyer sold their Unit 302 condominium at 1260 Dolphin Bay Way to Troy and Robin Peterson, of Brookfield, Wisconsin, for $990,000. Built in 1997, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,915 square feet of living area. It  sold for $760,000 in 2016.

Whispering Sands

Michelle Greer and Sara Triggs, trustees, sold the Unit 502 condominium at 19 Whispering Sands Drive to Joseph Nellis, of New York City, for $969,000. Built in 1973, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,282 square feet of living area. It  sold for $585,000 in 2015.

Siesta Beach

Timothy and Robin Owens, of Sarasota, sold their home at 4923 Commonwealth Drive to Christopher and Lynn Behning, of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, for $859,900. Built in 1978, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,663 square feet of living area. It  sold for $475,000 in 2018.

Fisherman’s Haven

Thomas Randall Lane and Robyn Elizabeth Lane, of Lebanon, Ohio, sold their Unit 606 condominium at 9150 Blind Pass Road to Maryruth Ryan, of Boston, for $825,000. Built in 1985, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,710 square feet of living area. It  sold for $835,000 in 2005.

Fisherman’s Cove

Patrick and Annamarie Johnson, of Williamsville, New York, sold their Unit 204 condominium at 9000 Blind Pass Road to James Sipp, of Sarasota, for $700,000. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 969 square feet of living area. It  sold for $580,000 in 2020.

Siesta Harbor

David and Joan Eckert, trustees, of Wausau, Wisconsin, sold the Unit 401 condominium at 1300 N. Portofino Drive to Maurice and Susan Lindsay, of Orlando, for $465,000. Built in 1969, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 991 square feet of living area. It  sold for $364,900 in April.

White Sands Village

Paulette Anne Morgan, of Sarasota, sold her Unit 114 condominium at 5685 Midnight Pass Road to White Sands Siesta LLC for $415,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,012 square feet of living area.

Kenneth Donald Keys, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 5964 Mariposa Lane to Carole Lavender Topar, of Sarasota, for $615,000. Built in 2007, it has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 2,521 square feet of living area. It  sold for $560,300 in 2007.

Stonebridge

P. Alix and Yasmine Perrault sold their home at 4850 Flagstone Drive to Timothy O’Neill and Monique E.V. Garza O’Neill, of Sarasota, for $587,500. Built in 1998, it has four bedrooms, three baths and 2,596 square feet of living area. It  sold for $230,000 in 1998.

The Hamptons

George Diefenbach, Susan Noah and Jennifer McConville, of Sarasota, sold their home at 5261 Highbury Circle to Robert Caplin, of Sarasota, for $542,000. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,823 square feet of living area. It  sold for $235,700 in 2000.

Villagewalk

Agnes Vardy, of Pittsburgh, sold the home at 5524 Octonia Place to Steve and Lynn Gaunce, of Lexington, Kentucky, for $539,900. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,008 square feet of living area. It  sold for $297,600 in 2003.

Denise Neiditch-Breger, Joseph Cusumano Jr. and Cynthia Arden, of Great Neck, New York, sold their home at 7672 Camminare Drive to Frank Wilding and Sharyn Patricia Wilding, of Sarasota, for $432,000. Built in 2005, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,534 square feet of living area. It  sold for $260,000 in 2011.

Stoneybrook at Palmer Ranch

Carol Kast, trustee, of Midlothian, Virginia, sold the home at 4139 Westbourne Circle to Fabio Giuntarelli, of Sarasota, for $455,000. Built in 1995, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,046 square feet of living area. It  sold for $199,000 in 1999.

OSPREY

Oaks II

Katherine Rossi, trustee, sold the home at 429 Walls Way to Susan Spalter and Debra Gertz, of Osprey, for $1.5 million. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,669 square feet of living area. It  sold for $900,000 in 2011.

Nikolay Ostroukhov and Alena Shcheglova, of Osprey, sold their home at 925 Blue Heron Overlook to Howard Percival Meitiner and Cynthia Joan Catterson, of Sarasota, for $990,700. Built in 1989, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,975 square feet of living area. It  sold for $500,000 in 2016.

Bay Pointe Vista

Mark and Virginia Desrosiers, of Chapin, South Carolina, sold their Unit 602 condominium at 242 Hidden Bay Drive to Jerry Magone, of Liberty Township, Ohio, for $745,000. Built in 1999, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,750 square feet of living area. It  sold for $465,000 in 2004.

NOKOMIS

Laurel Villa

Janelle and Richard Jarrett, of Robbinsville, North Carolina, sold their home at 108 Margaret Drive to Darrin Schwartz, of N. Venice, for $755,000. Built in 1993, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,841 square feet of living area. It  sold for $157,000 in 1998.

Casey Key

Ronald and Maureen Jackson sold their home at 4028 Casey Key Road to Parther Helton Properties LLP for $729,900. Built in 1980, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,676 square feet of living area. It  sold for $735,000 in 2013.

Sorrento East

Stephen Clementi sold the home at 2269 Lakewood Drive to Putz’s Properties LLC for $592,500. Built in 1985, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,842 square feet of living area. It  sold for $395,000 in 2020.

Gary and Ladine Sousa, of Nokomis, sold their home at 2251 Lakewood Drive to Nathaniel and Kathleen Hogan, of Nokomis, for $543,000. Built in 1976, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,881 square feet of living area. It  sold for $195,600 in 2013.
