Temple Emanu-El families and children celebrated the Birthday of the Trees with the temple's Tu B’Shevat festivities on Jan. 24.

Director of Education Sabrina Silverberg, Rabbi Michael Shefrin and other staff put on a fun event that taught children the importance of ecological awareness, the beauty of nature, and how to care for the earth. Families planted flowers together and went on a scavenger hunt later in the morning.
