Humane Society of Sarasota County celebrates 69 years with animal Paw-ty

Staff surprised cats and dogs with tasty treats for the organization's 69th anniversary.

It was a celebratory paw-ty for the cats and dogs of the Humane Society of Sarasota County on Feb. 9.

Humane Society staff thought there was no better way to celebrate the organization's 69th birthday than to surprise its many pets up for adoption with tasty birthday treats. Dogs were given colorful "pupcake" snacks while cats were serve elegant kitty hors d'oeuvres.

Cassidy enjoyed her pupcake.
