Siesta Key was again home to frights and delights as part of its "Safe Treats" Halloween event on Oct. 31.

Costumed families flocked to Siesta Key Village for the afternoon event, which had local participating merchants dressing up in their own colorful outfits to provide candy and scares. Several vendors marked their businesses with balloons and dropped candy down long tubes to children in order to practice social distancing.
