Athletes, too, had their moments in 2020 despite the challenging circumstances. Here's a snapshot of a handful of those moments, capturing the athleticism that awes the area on a daily basis.
Cardinal Mooney girls lacrosse then-senior Molly Donaghy fires a shot to score a goal March 3 against Saint Stephen's Episcopal. The Cougars would win the game 20-7. They would play one more game before the season ended.

Booker High senior golfer Jonah Winter tees off at the Suncoast Junior Match Play event at Palm Aire Country Club on Aug. 1. The event was designed to give local golfers something to safely do during the pandemic. Winter won.
