Longboat Island Chapels sings for spring

The gloomy weather didn’t stop the cheery feeling at Longboat Island Chapel March 19.

On Tuesday morning, The Village Voices of the Village on the Greens in Bradenton performed an hour-long concert, called “The Sounds of spring," for music enthusiasts.

The 25 singers sang a medley of songs including “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” “Yankee Doodle Song” and most appropriately for the weather, “Singin’ in the Rain.”

Following the concert, concertgoers mingled with Village Voices singers while enjoying refreshments.

This was the first time the Village Voices, which is directed by Bonnie Wolfgram who also directs the chapel choir, performed at the chapel.
