Temple Beth Israel congregants are ready for 2019.

On Jan. 4, about 100 temple members gathered for their first Shabbat dinner of the new year.

Attendees dined on spinach hand pie, stuffed grape leaves, Syrian beef stew and Lebanese Shabbat chicken with vegetables over couscous.
