Young musicians at Allegro summer camp a note above the rest

Campers from Allegro Music Academy's summer camp performed at a recital June 9 in front of an audience of friends and family. 

Kids ages 4 to 9 learned how to read music, sing together, played percussion instruments and were introduced to violin, piano, guitar and drums. They also learned etiquette table manners. 

Most of the campers had no music background, but by the end of the month-long camp, learned how to sightread, hear rhythms and sing on pitch.
