Bird Key rings in the Fourth of July

It was all about the stars and stripes at Bird Key Yacht Club on July 4.

Club members and their guests gathered for a Fourth of July celebration complete with games and prizes, a buffet dinner, flag ceremony and potato car races.

As guests arrived, they began the party with “midway” games, including darts, putt- putt and other quick games where participants had to either stack Diet Coke cans on paper plates to build a pyramid or hold popsicle stick in their mouth while trying to balance dice on top.

Next came the flag ceremony and dinner, followed by the potato car races and fireworks.
