Savory Palate cooks up monthly chef series

A Savory Palate was full of food and wine enthusiasts on Friday.

The gourmet pantry and tasting room hosted its monthly chef series on Feb. 24. Robert Gaglio, owner and operator of Italian Culinary Tours, made fresh pasta for attendees as they sipped on various types of wine.

The evening started with hummus and then mixed greens with a pomegranate vinaigrette. Next, the wine tasters enjoyed a fresh pasta station with angel hair pasta with almond marinara sauce and radiatori with pistachio cream sauce. For dessert, they enjoyed ricotta torta with a blueberry lavender jam.
