Congressman Vern Buchanan visits Republican Club of Longboat Key

It was a full house for the Republican Club of Longboat Key’s final meeting of the season.

About 100 people gathered to hear Congressman Vern Buchanan speak to the club. Before U.S. Rep. Buchanan gave a congressional update, guests mingled in the John Ringling Room of The Longboat Key Club.

Buchanan has represented the 16th congressional district of Florida since 2007. He currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and is chairman of the Oversight Subcommittee. Previously, he chaired the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.
